Kenneth Eugene Maher, "Ken" 90 passed away on March 7, 2022.
He was born July 7, 1931 in Akron, to the late John and Marie nee Cook Maher. Proceeded in death by his siblings: sister Mary Eileen; brother Ed (Sonny); and sister Kate.
Ken graduated from Hower High School and later attended the University of Akron.
Ken was a proud Veteran of the Navy, having served 5 years on the USS Jackson, and 5 years in the Navel Reserves.
He held various positions in the security field with The B.F. Goodrich Company, and most recently owning Summit Security.
Ken loved his affiliation with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary where he served as the "Coasty" liaison.
Ken's most recent fellowship came when he joined the NFB and ASB. He treasured the friendships and time spent going on outings and teaching others how to do metal work.
Those that knew and loved Ken will remember his sense of humor, storytelling, and kindness.
Ken leaves behind his wife Patricia (Pat); son Michael (Theresa); and daughter Juli; his dogs Sadie and Bear and many other family members.
Honoring Ken's wishes, a cremation will take place.
