Kenneth A. Neiger, passed away at age 90 into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 18, 2024. He was born on June 29, 1934 to the late Arno and Iantha {Archer} Neiger.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Patricia Jean "Pat" Neiger in 2018, their sons Dennis, Gary and Richard Neiger, brother Bob (Carol) Neiger, and sisters-in-law Betty, Dottie and Sheila.
Ken is survived by his nieces Bonnie (Keith) Alexander and Connie (Jerry) Leonard; great-nephews Raymond (Heather) Messenger, Bobby (Christina) Messenger; great-nieces Haylee (Jay) Defibaugh, Cortney (Jason) Sumpter and Ashley (Marcus) Braden; great-great-nieces and -nephews Cameron Messenger, Logan and Brandon Defibaugh, Ryker and Emmory Sumpter, and Emersyn Braden.
Ken was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, where he worked with the Howitzer cannon. He retired from First Energy with over 40 years of service. Ken and Pat were faithful members of Community Baptist Temple, a community that greatly supported Ken during Pat's final months.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Community Baptist Temple, 1435 Kelly Ave. Akron, OH 44306 on Wednesday, October 23rd from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating.
