Kenneth W. Evans (Papa), 60, went home to be with Lord unexpectedly on April 30, 2011. He was an avid sports fan, and a Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He was a very loving grandfather, and for the last 10 years his joy was taking care of his grandchildren. Kenneth attended and graduated from Field High School in 1969, and graduated from Wooster College in 1973 where he was a member of Phi Delta Sigma Fraternity. Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Linda, in 1957. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Wanda; parents, Walt and Charlotte (nee Frohnapfel) Evans; children, Lisa (Adam) Bey, Julie (Mike) Klopp, Sheri Loren, and Crystie Johnson; siblings, Steve (Lori) Evans, Diane Lott, Dan (Debbie) Evans, Dave Evans, Carol Evans, and Jane (Ted) Kober; grandchildren, Jade, Tony, Jesse, Vanessa, Jordan, Olivia, Brandon, Jill, and Myles; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 3, from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held Wednesday, May 4, at 11 am with Pastor Jim Shuman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Suffield Twp. Fire Dept. and EMS, and the Suffield League for the community and the children.
