Kevin Joseph Hicks

Kevin Joseph Hicks, age 40, was set free and went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2017 after a long battle with addiction. Kevin was born on October 24, 1976, and he was a talented painter who owned Kev's Pro Paint. He was an amazing artist and musician at heart. He loved to play guitar and sing.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Laura Sands and Gwynn S (Sonny) Hicks. Jr. (Debbie); step-parents Richard Fridley and Deanna Wells; children, Gavin, Kaytlyn, Jerzi and Ethyn Hicks; nephews, Michael and Dyson Hicks; special friend, Heather, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Rodney and Laura Sands, Gladys and Richard Coffield, Gwynn S. Hicks Sr., and brother, Gwynn Seth Hicks.
Calling hours will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 3-7 pm and from 11 am-12 pm on Monday, August 21, 2017 with service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
