Kevin A. Johnson

Kevin A. Johnson, 43, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2020. He was a graduate of CVCA and Kent State University. Kevin went on to a job with Fox Sports in Los Angeles where he received an Emmy nomination for a super bowl spotlight presentation. He was an avid lover of all things history, golf, and music. He had an ear for music which allowed him to pick up and play any instrument, as well as influence others to appreciate all genres of music. Kevin loved his furry best friend June Carter Cash Johnson (June Bug) and even taught her to play soccer. She was his constant companion.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Beverly Johnson and Bill and Rhonda Johnson; sister, Monica Johnson (Todd Price); step-sister, Heather Meeks (David); niece, Evelyn; and nephews, Jaxson and Davey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Estelle and Kenner Johnson, and his step-brother, Brian Witherspoon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 18 at 11:00am.
