Kevin Mark Unroe, age 60 of Akron, Ohio, died at his home on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
He was born on November 21, 1958, the son of Ruby (nee Tyree) Unroe Bittinger of Akron and the late Harmon Unroe.
Kevin enjoyed traveling to Virginia, music, and metal detecting. He was a collector of many things.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, the former Marla Locke; his children, Jeffrey Unroe and Amanda (Christopher) Hylton; four grandchildren, Damion, Joshua, Justin, and Noah. His two sisters also survive, Yvonne (Tom) Miller and Tami (Raymond) Ribera; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his caregiver, Jackie Hatfield.
Other than his father, Kevin was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Sherrin; and his niece, Jessica Thompson.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 6:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.
