Kevin Lydell Williamson

Kevin Lydell Williamson, 38, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2022. Kevin, known as "Bucky" to family and friends, was born on February 24, 1984 in Akron. He graduated from Buchtel High School in 2002. Bucky loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends. His favorite times were spent fishing at local lakes, rapping, and designing clothes. He was taken too soon, but will remain in our hearts forever.
Bucky was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse C. Williamson, Augustus and Ella Simpson, Irvin and Phyllis Broadus; and uncles, DuWarn (Donna) Simpson and Gerard Simpson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and stepfather, Desiree and Rodney Broadus; father and stepmother, Kevin and Gwen Simpson; grandmother, Mary Williamson; grandmother, Nellie Jones; sister, Jhaelun Broadus; stepbrothers, Kevin Canty, Delray Brooks, and Johnny Adams; daughter, Kaleah Williamson and her mother, Linda Cummings; daughters and sons, Kiara, Kevin, Khaeona, Kristiona, and Kaden Williamson and their mother, Diamond Towns; grandson, Jaylen Williamson; aunts, Christie Williamson, Sabrina Landrum (godmother), Lydia Broadus, and Veronica Fikes; uncles, Jesse L.Williamson Phillip Fikes, Gene (Maretta) Hamilton, Donell (Monica) Stone, Douglas Wright, Sebron (Karen) Phillips, and Darryl (Dena) Warren. Bucky also leaves his special cousin, Kevanti Williamson and Anthony "Amp" Anderson and Sergio Anderson, who were like brothers to him. He also leaves many cousins, extended relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
