Kimberly A. Skidmore (nee Prekop)
Kimberly A. Skidmore, 51, of Akron, passed away January 29, 2008 at her residence. She was born November 12, 1956 in Akron, Ohio. Kimberly enjoyed historical camping with her husband, Ed and was a department manager at WalMart for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Prekop; and mother-in-law, Pat Skidmore. Kimberly is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edwin Skidmore; father, Joseph Prekop; sons, Edwin II (Kimberly) and Timothy; grandson, Dylan Skidmore; sisters, Linda (Larry) Duca, Rebecca (Tom) Shilinski; brother, Joseph (Helen) Prekop, Jr.; sister-in-law, Patty Robertson; father-in-law, Robert Skidmore; close friends, Jeff & April Woods; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Robert Woolf officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
