Kimm Nadine Wilson was born in Akron, Ohio to Bernadine and the late Jess Foster on Wednesday, September 12th, 1956. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1974 and continued her studies at The University of Akron. Kimm was known by her close friends and family for her unwavering support and everlasting affection of her siblings and her mother. After years of believing she was unable to bear children she gave birth to five, whom she doted on willingly and showered in love and endearing faithfulness. The last 16 years of her life were spent catering to and spoiling her 8 beloved grandchildren who had become the object of her constant affection. Kimm was a Jill of all trades; being an excellent chef, homemaker, interior designer, talented seamstress and an-all around creative soul.
Throughout her life Kimm enjoyed taking pleasure in her wide range of hobbies & interests. She would design, crochet, hand and machine sew items of clothing, blankets, dolls and more. A love of nature and parks, she had an admirable green thumb with the ability to grow anything from just a sprout. She was an avid drawer and created beautiful artwork often. She loved to cook and share her food with others, trying and creating recipes from scratch, enthusing in vegan dishes as well. She indulged in the arts, a true classic film buff, she made it an effort to ensure her children were exposed at an early age to tap into their creative forms of expressions.
Kimm unexpectedly fell ill and fought valiantly for her life ultimately succumbing to a formidable foe, an aggressive cancer. In her darkest moments, Kimm continued to be an example of kindness under pressure, grace under duress and selflessness in the face of an impending end. During her illness caregivers often described her as "lovely". We would like to thank her oncology surgeon and the staff on the fifth floor at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital Akron for the kind and thorough care provided. We would also like to mention Adoration Hospice for their services as well. An honorable mention for Ivori Balas her fourth child who upended her life in California to come be the main caregiver for Kimm during her last months, making Kimm's final wish of being at home during her last days a reality. She departed this earthly life on Monday, January 22nd, 2024.
"Grief is the last act of love we have to give those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there was great love. "
