Kriss Beatty
Kriss Beatty (nee Johnson) passed away February 13, 2006. She was born November 5, 1960 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Patricia L. and the late Jackie P. Johnson. The Mayor of Fairlawn, along with the members of the Fairlawn City Council, recognized and honored Kriss on April 6, 1998. A Resolution of Gratitude and commendation was presented to Kriss for her selfless dedication and courageous actions while assisting in saving the life of a Fairlawn resident on February 26, 1998. She found her way into the heart of everyone she met with her caring and giving personality. Kriss will be missed deeply. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kelly Johnson. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew and Ryan Beatty; mother, Patricia Johnson; sisters, Kim Shaffer, Kay Affolter and Kandy (Eric) Casenhiser; eleven nieces and nephews; and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 28 and Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron at 3 p.m. where family will meet friends from 2 p.m. until the service begins.
