Krunoslava (Koceljevic) Dzeba passed peacefully into our Lord's arms on October 17, 2022. Kruna was born July 12, 1928 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the late Koloman and Adelhaida Koceljevic.
Kruna received a degree in accounting in Sarajevo. She lived briefly in Vienna, Austria and Toronto, Canada, before settling in Akron, Ohio. She became a United States citizen in 1974. She worked for many years at First Merit Bank.
Kruna will be remembered for her smile, wit, and gifts of Croatian candies for special people. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. Whenever positive things happened in her life, she thanked God and offered a good deed in thanksgiving. Kruna loved gardening and shared many vegetables and fruits with neighbors and friends. She enjoyed knitting and made countless baby blankets for various pregnancy centers in the area. She also volunteered in a variety of ways with Right to Life.
Kruna is survived by her sister Kornelija Koceljevic of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, niece Jadranka Svenk, of Zagreb, Croatia, niece Tatjana Karin of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and great-nephews Ivan (Irena) Karin of Ottawa, Canada, and Zvonimir Rudomino of Zagreb, Croatia.
The family would like to thank The Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn and Summa Hospice for the special care they provided over the past few years. The aides, nurses, caretakers, and fellow residents held a very special place in Kruna's heart.
A special thank you to Barbie Weiss and her lovely family for being like a family to Kruna and providing whatever she needed, whenever she needed it, especially during the last few years. We are sure their care, compassion, and company made her final years more enjoyable. We are forever in your debt.
