L. Jean Breznak, "Jean", age 77, of Akron, Ohio, died on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 11:35 AM at her home.
She was born in Jerome, Idaho on October 3, 1939, the daughter of the late J. Edward Henry and Alice Mae Kingsland McCoy.
Jean was a retired beautician and worked for several shops throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. She was a people person, Jean loved to help. Jean was a great wife, mother, and grandmother who had compassion for her family. She was a wonderful caregiver to her family and friends who needed her the most.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, James S. Breznak, whom she married on February 14, 1960; her sons, Ronald James (Jan) Breznak, Jeffrey (Victoria) Breznak, and Jack (Denise) Breznak; her grandchildren, Kyle Breznak and child, Anthony Breznak and children, Sabrina (Michael) Baldwin and child, Chad Breznak, and Cayanne Breznak; and her niece, Patti McCoy.
Other than her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings, Chris Cavin, Sherman McCoy, Millie Mitchell, and Orpha Quinn; her sister-in-law, Ruth Helms.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, following calling hours burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
