Lance W. Rice

Lance Rice, age 71, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born on February 29, 1952, he grew up in Bedford, raised his family in Twinsburg, then moved to his current residence in Tallmadge, Ohio.

Lance worked many years at Ohio Bell, then opened, owned and operated Frames and Fine Arts Custom Picture Framing. He then became a sales rep for picture framing supplies, traveling through many states. After that, he slowed down the pace and worked at different small jobs.

When his kids Brandon and Lindsey were young, Lance really enjoyed coaching their sports teams during the summer (boy's baseball and football, and girl's softball). All the kids loved him, and great memories were made. Lance also loved playing golf and riding his Harley.

Lance is preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Betty, his brother Bill, his father-in-law Roy and mother-in-law Donna.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; children Brandon (Jamie) and Lindsey (Troy); grandchildren A.J. and Jacey; bonus grandkids T.J., Marin and Saber; sisters Jean (Richard) and Ruth; sisters-in-law Jackie and Sherri (Terry); brother-in-law Steve; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

We weren't ready for him to leave us.
