Larry Jeffery Eder
Larry Jeffery Eder, 58, of Akron, passed away March 21, 2012. Larry was born in Akron on November 13, 1953 to the late Rudolph and Agnes Eder.
He lived at Springfield Group Home where his many friends were like family. He enjoyed drinking coffee and eating. He always wanted to know about his friends' cars and loved to take rides with his sister. The cocker spaniel, Sierra, brought a smile to his face every time she licked his nose.
Chet, the Springfield Group Home manager, made the home like family for Larry. Larry loved everybody that worked there and had a special relationship with each of them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and will be deeply missed by his sister, Nancy Eder.
A special message from me, Larry's sister:
Thanks to Suzie Hosey for always making Larry laugh and get up in the middle of the night to see you.
Thanks to Danette Scott for your fine cooking that made Larry always ask: "Danette, What are you making?" Thanks for looking out for him for 17 years.
Thanks to Montreal Munnerlyn for keeping Larry looking and smelling fine with his manly cologne.
Thanks to LaDale Moss for your kind and gentle way with Larry. He loved saying your name.
Thanks to Barb Wilmoth - Larry loved the silly word games you played with each other and the special attention you gave him.
Thanks to Michelle Huff, the girl he wanted a kiss from.
Thanks to Chris Tomlinson - everytime Sierra and I were with Larry it was always "Where's Chris?" It meant so much to me seeing him come up to my job with you on Sundays. I think we named every puppy in the store. Thank you for loving him like a brother.
Thanks to Chet Flowers. Springfield should be honored to have you there as the leader. You have so much knowledge and compassion for people. You make it a family, not a business. You touched Larry in so many ways and for that I will be eternally grateful. As you saw yesterday, he loved you.
A special acknowledgment to Larry's housemates, Brenda, Darryl, Todd, Carol, Dru, and Barb. I know he enjoyed all the "moments"
with each one of you.
A special thanks to Evant, Weaver Workshop, and UDS for the special interaction you had with Larry over the years.
To my friends who were here with me during this time, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
For Sierra my cocker spaniel, "I love you!" - Uncle Larry
A graveside service at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Akron will be held at a later date.
