Larry W. Peters

Larry W. Peters, 82, of Akron, passed away on April 14, 2024. He was born on December 27, 1941 the son of the late Herbert Woodrow and Ora Mae Peters. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from general Die Caster after 25 years of dedicated service. After retirement he worked at Mama Rosa's and then began to Door Dash , which he absolutely enjoyed. He referred to himself as Door Dasher #1. Larry was a member of The Righteous Riders, a Christian Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers, especially marigolds. Larry also enjoyed watching baseball and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved grandson Matthew Twigg.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Melissa Peters; children Jacki (Jim) Lanham, Joe (Trish) Peters, Laura Peters, and Kimm (Scott) Steinwedel; grandchildren David (Saraiya), Josh (Kaitlin) , Brandyn, Bryan (Karrah), Ariela, Nick, Luke, Faith, Katie, and Jack; great-grandchildren Mason, Elysee, Marshall, Caleb, Maci, and Amelia; step-daughter Tia Garland; step-son Adrian Clark; step-grandchildren Selah, Lance; step-great-grandchildren Willow, Carson, and Skylar; and family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am Monday, April 22nd, at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 11:00am.
Interment will take place at East Akron Cemetery.
