Laura L. Glidden, 65, of Akron, passed away April 10, 2012 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Maine on June 13, 1946 to the late Wilfred and Esther Phares.
She retired after 24 years of service at Bob Evans. In her free time, she enjoyed holiday gatherings and family get- togethers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Phares. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Scott, Craig (Allison), and Richard (Carla); grandchildren, Scotty, Ashley, Drew, Bryce, Richard, Max, Larry, Miyah, Gabriella, Scarlett, and LeeLee.
Family and friends may call on Thursday April 12 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Randy Baker officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron 44333.
