Laura Jean Roberts

Laura Jean Roberts, age 63 of Coventry Township passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born in Akron on May 27, 1958, the daughter of Barbara Walker and the late Robert Clayton.

In addition to her father, Laura was preceded in death by her stepfather Roy Walker, stepmother Millie Clayton, brother Todd Walker and brother-in-law Frank Bennett.

Laura will be incredibly missed by her mother Barbara Walker; sister Vicki Bennett; brothers Doug, Dick and Jeff Walker; children Jennifer (Jason) Blevins, Craig (Danielle) Roberts and Tim (Amanda) Roberts; longtime companion John Casady; grandchildren Alexis and Andrew Blevins, Sophia and James Roberts, Austin, Logan, Aiden and Lacey Roberts; many extended family members and friends.

Laura was a dedicated nurse for over 30 years, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers in her free time. She loved vacationing with her family, especially to the beach, where she could enjoy the sunshine and her toes in the sand. Laura was an amazing cook, and loved baking, especially during the holidays. She loved her fur babies, especially Ernie, and her granddogs Bella and Lance. Laura loved going to the campground, Tappin Lake and playing games with the grandkids.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Jeremy Music officiating.
