Laura A. Thomas

Laura A. Thomas nee Winemiller, 61, of Akron passed away on September 19, 2022. She was born on September 10, 1961 the daughter of the late Fred and Judy Winemiller. Laura graduated from Mogadore High School and Maplewood JVS with the class of 1980. She studied horticulture and enjoyed decorating and flower arranging. She made her house a home for family and friends and loved being a hostess especially during the NASCAR races. Laura and her husband, Mitch loved traveling and in their years together have had many great adventures. They both enjoyed looking for great bargains at tag sales and estate sales.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Mitchell I. Thomas; parents Fred and Judy Winemiller; mother-in-law and father-in-law Gene and Elaine Thomas; and brother-in-law Mark Thomas.
Laura will be missed by all those that knew her especially, sister Kathy (John) Haren; brother Dan "Bubba" Winemiller who was the most amazing brother, friend and caregiver; brothers-in-law Michael (Brenda) Thomas, and Jim (Martha) Thomas; Aunt Rose and Uncle Mike Thomas; sadly she leaves behind her faithful and beloved Shephard, Edsel Ford; special friends Jeff and Karen Spangler; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
