Laurie Denise Wright

Laurie Denise Wright, 65, of Niles, passed away on April 11, 2024. She was born in Glen Burnie, MD on April 9, 1959 to Edwin Shaffer (d) and Kay (Mike) Embleton.

In addition to her father, Laurie was preceded in death by her brother Jeff Shaffer and her father- and mother-in-law George and Gertrude Wright.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband, James; mother Kay (Mike) Embleton; brothers Eric (Desiree) and David Shaffer; sister-in-law Nina Criss; brother-in-law George (Carol) Wright; dog, Brutus; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Laurie graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1977, and briefly attended The University of Akron. She loved riding on Harley Davidsons with her husband Jim, gatherings with her friends and family, The Wizard of Oz and Mickey Mouse. Laurie enjoyed attending Browns games and concerts. The people that love her most will dearly miss their "LaLa" and "Mouse".
