Laverle E. Yoder
Laverle E. Yoder, 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away November 4, 2010. Laverle was born on September 7, 1918. An accomplished singer, she performed with the Akron Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, the Akron Symphony Chorus, the Cuyahoga Falls Grandmas and Grandpas, and the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus. Laverle was a lifetime member of Stow Community Church where she sang in the choir, and a member of the Eastern Stars. She enjoyed gardening and taking trips in the fall to see foliage. Laverle was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Yoder; son, Dale Yoder; and brother, Duane Work. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kay (Clarence) Flinn and Barbara Davis (Sean Hausknecht); grandchildren, Krista (Marty) Schmidt, Dale (Stephanie) Mainarick, Kira (Michael) Thompson, and Erin (Shane) Kinker; and ten great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9th from 6-8 p.m. at Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
