Lawana Jean Wright, 66, of Coventry Township, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2021 while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Lawana was born in Akron on March 23, 1955 to the late Bill and Jean Klein. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Wright in 1974 and they raised their four children in Akron. Lawana was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She was a strong woman who was not afraid to voice her opinions. She was a wonderful cook and loved to host gatherings for family and friends. Lawana will never be forgotten by the countless family members and friends who were lucky to know and love her.
In addition to her parents, Lawana was preceded in death by her son, Joe Wright; sister, Leesa Mitchell; and grandson, Miles Wright.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jerry; daughters, Jeri (Brian) Lautzenheiser, Jeana Wright, and Dani Klein; brother, Mike "Rusty" Beam; sisters, Lori Bonzo and Lavon Klein; grandchildren, Cody Lautzenheiser, Casey Lautzenheiser, Gracie Lautzenheiser, Kayden "K" Kocis, Joe Wright, Billy Wright, Nevaeh Klein, Joey Klein, and Alexis Klein; great-grandson, Weston Lautzenheiser; and many good friends, especially best friends Carol Sucanick and Della Allen.
Per Lawana's wishes, there will be no public services.
