Lawrence Earl Dickey, "Larry," "Pop," 22, holding for 63 years, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Akron City Hospital, surrounded by loving family. Born in Duck, West Virginia on May 25, 1936 to George and Thelma {Boggs} Dickey.
He retired as a fireman from Goodyear Tire & Rubber, after more than 30 years of service.
Preceded in death by both parents, as well as brother George Leonard, son Rodney Owen, and great-grandson Wyatt Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Patricia R. {Coleman} Dickey; sons Randy (Gloria), Rick and Roger Dickey; daughters Robin (Dave) Snyder and Rhonda Guay; six grandchildren Michael, Marlene, Ernie, Samantha, George and Danielle; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family and dear friends.
All are welcome to visit on Friday, July 9 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the funeral home. After services, Larry will be cremated.
