Lawrence "Pete" Krautheim, Jr.
Lawrence "Pete" Krautheim, Jr., 81, went home to be with his Lord on February 15, 2007 after courageously fighting numerous illnesses. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio and lived in Akron most of his life. Pete proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and later retired from Ohio Edison after 42 years of service. He was a member of Crossroads Bible Fellowship, the Airport V.F.W. Post 8975 and Alcoholics Anonymous. The measure of his giving nature has been made obvious to all of us by his innumerable family and friends. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, L.L. Krautheim, Sr. and Adelaide (Brown) Krautheim; sisters, Dorothy and Helen; and faithful dog, Susie. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Ann Krautheim; granddaughters, Ashley and Stacy Krautheim; grandson, Andrew Crowe; very special niece, Theresa LaCause; special friends, Ellie Crowe and Frank Osco; many nieces, nephews, and loving family, friends and neighbors. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Phil Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
