Lawrence D. Wallace

Lawrence D. Wallace, 71, passed away on July 4, 2024. He was born on November 23, 1952 the son of the late Roy and Fleda Wallace of Detroit, MI. He owned and operated L&W Tree Service for many years. Lawrence was an avid John Wayne fan. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing with family and friends. He had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Troy Wallace, Roy Lee Wallace, and Alvin Wallace; and sisters Emma Sue Rutherford, and Lula Mae Overbey.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Margarette Wallace; 11 children; 15 grand children; his pride and joy his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Barnes and Logan Barnes; brothers Gene Edward Wallace, Maynard Wallace, and Mitchell Wallace; sisters Mildred Carr, and Carolyn (Chuck) Lindsey; brother-in-law Chuck (Linnie) Killinger; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation will take place and there will be no formal service per Lawrence's request.
