Leeta Ki Simich (nee Hartman)
Leeta Ki Simich (nee Hartman), 70, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2008, in Akron, OH. Leeta was born in Akron and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Central High School. Preceded in death by her parents, Lydia and Kie; and nephew Brian Hartman. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ted; sister Linda Pavlik; brother Michael (Julie); her children Kimberly (John) Gamauf, Kelly Moles, Keith (Lorene), and Kara (Michael) Sharp; grandchildren Erika (Harry), Jamie (Brett), Sarah (Chris), Stefani, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren Kalee and Zachary; nephews Gregory and Jason; nieces Micha (Jason) and Leah; and a host of family members and friends. Leeta was known for her fun loving nature, humor and kindness. She was always giving of herself to all in her path. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Leeta retired from the Ohio Turnpike Commission after 18 years of service. So many will feel a loss for this wonderful lady who taught many of us how to really live. She was creative and full of life. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.
