Lena A. (Heavner) Neidert, 92, of Akron, passed away suddenly on November 17, 2008. Lena was born in Mogadore on July 23, 1916. She was employed as an LPN at Barberton Citizens Hospital for 15 years. Lena was a member of The Chapel, AARP, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of America. She enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizens Center in Kenmore, playing bridge and taking exercise classes. Lena was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Heavner in 1963 and her second husband, Henry Neidert in 1995. She will be deeply missed by her children, Ronald (Susan) Heavner of Canton, OH, Robert (Elaine) Heavner of Santa Barbara, CA, and Norma (Heavner) Fisher of Anderson, IN; eleven grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 4 and 6 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
