Leonard Eugene Boden was born on October 21, 1933 in Akron to the late Carl Edwin Boden and Thelma (Hampton) Boden. He died on February 13, 2016 and is now resting in peace with his Marjories: Marjorie J. (Pfeifle) Boden, his wife of 43 years, and Marjorie Regina Boden, his daughter. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law and sister, Charles Ansell and Mildred (Boden) Ansell. He leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Carole Boden; daughters, Lorrie L. Beavers (Russell) and Linda L. Boden; stepdaughter, Jill Lucey (Mike) and family; grandchildren, Michael Knox (Michelle), Brian Bower (Alicia), Crystal Guldeman (Sian), Brandon Beavers, and Meggan Rafferty (Brandon); six great-grandchildren; brother Wayne Boden (Sylvia); and many nieces and nephews. Leonard spent his career as a carpenter and crane operator. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and driving his tractor. In later years, he enjoyed traveling to Canada and Las Vegas with Carole. A licensed pilot, Leonard loved to fly. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service with Pastor Joe Burkhardt officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
