Leonard Davis

Leonard Davis, 68, passed away on June 18, 2018. He was born in Akron on December 28, 1949 to the late Samuel and Anna Davis. Leonard proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a crew chief on F4C fighter jets during the Vietnam War. He retired from Firestone/Bridgestone after 41 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed communicating on his HAM radio. He could fix anything and enjoyed sharing his expertise with those he loved. He loved sharing stories and made friends wherever he went. Leonard will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie; daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Anthony; grandsons, Vincent, Angelo, and Stefano; sister, Beverly; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Diana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
