Leonard Greenwood

Leonard Greenwood, 87, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2022. He was born on November 2, 1934 the son of the late Arthur and Ruth Greenwood. Leonard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a city bus driver for MTA for many years in New York and a school bus driver in Ohio. He enjoyed working at Klaben Ford being a helpful and friendly greeter. He was known to many as the "Candy Man" offering delicious candy, a warm smile, and good cheer to many local businesses to help brighten up the day. Leonard was a member of Amalgamated Transit Union Local #1179. He was a man of great faith and was always reading God's Word in the bible and offering bible verses, a kind word and love to those in need. Leonard enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son Leonard Greenwood Jr.
Leonard is survived by his daughters Patricia Salaam, Linda Greenwood, and Rose Greenwood; sons Michael (Yatenga) Greenwood and Jeffery Greenwood; sister Dorothy Brown; brother William Greenwood; a special dear friend and care-giver Tammy; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation will take place.
