Leonard H. "Jack" Curry
Leonard H. "Jack" Curry, 76, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2006. Born in Akron on March 14, 1930 to the late James and Anna Curry. Jack was very active in the First Church of God in Tallmadge. He retired from Akron Standard Mold after over 40 years of service and also served as president of the Steelworkers local union for 25 years. Jack enjoyed traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Danzil and William; and son Richard. Survivors include his loving wife Pauline; son Donald (Denise), of Uniontown; daughter Carol (Glen) Henderson, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; stepchildren Paula (William) Gerber, Elaine Willard, and Gary (Connie) Jones; grandchildren Mark Zimmerman, Brian Henderson, and Jeff Curry; stepgrandchildren Justin and Jason Jones, and Sam Willard; and many special relatives and friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at the First Church of God, 464 Northeast Ave., Tallmadge. Funeral service Monday, 10 a.m. at the church. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
