Leone Annette Gindlesperger (68) of Akron, Ohio was welcomed into the company of her Lord on October 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a warm, loving and compassionate woman whose beauty shone through to all who knew her.
In addition to her role as a devoted wife and mother, Leone had a diverse career, starting out working in customer service at various retail positions. She found an outlet for her creativity when she obtained certification and worked as a floral designer. Later, her meticulous attention to detail served her well in the financial industry, holding positions as a head teller at National City/PNC Bank and a senior teller at GenFed Credit Union.
Leone was an active member and served as deacon of Eastwood Church of the Brethren, where she found friendship and support in her church community. She was often praised for her beautiful singing voice as the congregation joined together in song.
She also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and reading daily devotionals. She was the ultimate hostess and loved throwing holiday parties and gatherings for her family and close friends.
Leone is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David R. Gindlesperger; her daughters, Sarah (Jhon) Lifonzo and Mary Gindlesperger, and her son, David M. Gindlesperger; sisters, Debra (Mike Roth) Dovala, Angela Bowman, Barbie (Randy) Allshouse, Gina (Dan Clark) Monte; sister-in-law Betty Gindlesperger; and beloved nieces and nephews.
