Leslie Maria Torson

Leslie Maria Torson, 76, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband Philip "Phil" L. Torson; parents Francis "Whitey" and Mary McMurray. She is survived by her sons, P. Aaron (Angela), Jared (Leigh); grandchildren Luke and Julia; brothers Ken (Patty), Mark (Sharon), Dan (Jackie), beloved aunt, uncles and cousins.
Leslie was born on October 15, 1947. A life-long resident of Akron, she graduated from Kenmore High School. Soon afterwards she began working as a bookkeeper and later as a tax preparer for H&R Block. Leslie married and had two sons, volunteering her time helping children at Hemminger elementary school.
A devoted wife and caring mother, she cherished any moment she could be with her entire family whether it was down in Kimbolton or at her house playing cards. The hospitality that she would show was evident in the numerous cakes, pastries, meals she would make for gatherings. Throughout her life she enjoyed her pony, horses, raising dachshunds, and most recently her three cats Shoo-shoo, Esther, and Vashti.
Above all, Leslie loved her creator Jehovah God and dedicated her life on October 9, 1965. She served closely with her husband at the Thornton, Kenmore, and most recently Barberton congregation, telling others the good news about Gods Kingdom.
