Leslie W. Frye, 68, passed away peacefully at Hospice Care Center on November 6, 2008. Les was born on January 20, 1940 in Clarksburg, WV and lived in Akron for 66 years. He retired from Parker Haniffan after 28 years of service. Les was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; son, Tommy; and son-in-law, Clarence Turner. He will be missed by his wife of 48 years, Mary; children, Sharon, Terry, and Jeana; grandchildren, Justin (Andi), Nathan (Ashleigh), Melissa, Tiara, and Joshua; great-grandchild, Baby Giana; mother, Edna; siblings, Blane (Betty), Paul (Cindy), Barbara Ann (Bob), and Russell (Sharon); many nieces and nephews; special friends, Vince and Terri Harrison and Terry Bollock; and his dog, Mitsy Sue. The family would like to thank the staff at Akron General Medical Center's MICU and PICU for all the care given to Les. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Lindsey Hayes. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
