Lester E. Cox
Lester E. Cox, 82, passed away May 9, 2011. He retired from the U. S. Army after over 28 years of service, and served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Lester was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. In 2005, he won the Good Neighbor Award. He was preceded by his wife, Rose Cox. Lester is survived by his daughters, Sharon Ligon, Beverly Wood, and Susan Page; sons, Tommy Cox and David Cox; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces, Cyndy Stapleton, and Deanna Martin; brother, George Cox; and many beloved neighbors. Cremation has taken place. Private family services will take place at a later date.
