Levaunne "Lee" M. Bishop
January 9, 1925 — September 13, 2017
LeVaunne "Lee" M. Bishop, 92, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away September 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in Akron on January 9, 1925 to Joseph and Pearl Perry. A longtime area resident, Lee enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, bowling and country music. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Pearl.
In addition to her parents, Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Leo "Bud" Bishop; and brother, Marshall Perry. She is survived by her children, Mark (Brenda) Bishop, Laura (Clyde) Bisel and Kelly (Denzil) Sinsel; grandchildren, Chad, Ginger, Jesse, Shalee, Tristan, Megan, Jamie and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Debrahn, Charlie, Sylvia, Emma, Luke, Landen, Evelyn and Emelia; brother-in-law, Ron Nichter; sister-in-law, Carol Andrews and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00pm with visitation from 10:30am-12:00pm. Interment at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, Canton, to follow.
