Lewis William Nicholas, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born on April 22, 1982, the son of William Nicholas and Darla {Blondheim} Elrod.
Lewis was preceded in death by his father, William and his brother Michael Nicholas.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Kylee; mother Darla (Dave Hanlon) Elrod; step-father Donald Elrod; brother David (Melissa) Elrod; sister Katie Elrod; girlfriend Misty Tomlin; grandparents Linda Thomas and Ron (Pam) Blondheim; godson Tyler Liggett; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend Rachel King; and numerous close friends, including those he met through his special group of HA and AA.
Lewis loved animals, especially cats, and was known as a "cat person." His daughter Kylee was the light of his life, and his purpose was to be the best father to her.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, 44305. Friends may continue to visit after the service until 7:00 p.m.
