Lillian Fike

Lillian R. Fike (nee Kelly), 89, of Springfield Township, passed away July 10, 2005 at Akron General Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1916 in Morgantown, WV to the late Walter O. & Mary (Savage) Kelly. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Lillian loved to travel, especially with her husband, Dale. She enjoyed painting, an interest she took up later in life; and she knitted and crocheted. Lillian was a member of the Eastern Star, Goodyear Blue & Gold Club and 25 Year Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, C. Dale Fike and her son in law Raymond Furbee. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Park Furbee of Mogadore; grandchildren, Franklin (Carrie) Park, Jerry Park (Cathy Foecke), Karen Furbee (Kim Engbest), Beth Furbee; great-granddaughter, Autumn; brother, Walter (Irene) Kelly; 4 nieces and 3 nephews; 6 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for the FAMILY ONLY with Dr. Karen Hartley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wedgewood United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2350 Wedgewood Dr., Akron OH 44312 or the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333
