Lillian Hodnick, 90, of Akron, passed away September 14, 2018. Lillian was born in Akron, Ohio on October 5, 1927 to the late Alex and Catherine Budzilowski. Lillian graduated from Garfield High School and went on to work for Firestone in the photo lab. She retired from M. O'Niel Co. in downtown Akron, where she was a sales person for Farberware. Lillian looked forward to bass fishing every summer with her brothers at the family lake home in Umatilla, Florida. She loved to play cards and do cross stitch.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her loved companion Steve Mitchin; son, Daniel Hodnick; and brothers, Dr. Dave Budlow and Paul Budzilowski.
She will be dearly missed daughters, Linda Michaels and Marlene (Larry) Midcap, brother, Gerald (Joyce) Budzilowski; grandchildren, Michelle Helke, Shannon Testa, Bryan Midcap, Raymond Michaels II, Katie Hodnick, Amanda Hodnick and Danielle Hodnick; 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
To Hospice and the staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home, thank you for the loving care you provided to our mother, we will be forever grateful. Special thank you to Father Bob at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Barberton.
