Lillian "Jean" Koneff, born April 27, 1940, passed away suddenly on December 13, 2021. Born in Akron Ohio, she was 81 years old. She was a life-long resident of Akron and graduated from Garfield High School.
Jean married John Koneff and raised 7 children on North Hill. She later worked at Giant Eagle where she made many friends. She could often be found watching her grandchildren at a Tallmadge High School sporting event and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre and pinochle.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elaine Landsdorf; her husband, John Koneff; and her second parents, John and Genevieve Koneff.
Jean is survived by her sister and best friend, Betty Romanoski, her brother Frank Richard Landsdorf, and life-long friend Rita Rocci. She had seven children, Julie Koneff (Marc Eidelberg), Daneale DeLorenzo (Patrick Edwards), Scott Koneff, Heather (Ken) Reardon, Sean (Julie) Koneff, Robyn (John) Hanlin, and Patrick Koneff. Jean also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Carol (Tom) Kayser; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way.
Jean was the center of her large family and her life revolved around them. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and large group of friends.
A funeral mass for Jean will be held Friday, December 17th at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul in Akron. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 164 W. Market St, Akron, OH 44303 or Akron Childrens Hospital, 214 W. Bowery St, Akron, OH 44308.
