Linda L. Schutz

Linda L. Schutz, 70, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2017. A lifelong animal lover, Linda has had many pets, and later in life dearly loved her birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. She loved boating and water skiing. Linda worked at Fotomat/Konica Photo Imaging throughout her working life which spurred her love of photography. Later in life, she became interested in preserving the family history and assembled an entire family tree.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Smith, husband Donald Schutz, and step-son Donnie Schutz. Left to cherish her memory is her father Ross Smith; daughter, Jodi Sarver; brother Richard (Amelia) Smith; nephew Brian Smith; grandsons Codi and Collin Schutz; longtime family friends Linda Travis ("ex-wife-in-law") and Glen Rice.

Friends and family are welcome on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305 from 5-7 p.m. and from 9-10 a.m. on August 17th, with a funeral ceremony to follow at 10 a.m. Services will be officiated by Rev. Richard D. Smith, LPCC.
