Linda Sumey, 64, of Akron, passed away suddenly on Oct. 19, 2011. Reunited with her late husband, Sonny Ferrell. She is survived by daughters, Mary Ledbetter and family, Helen (Mark) Campbell and family, and Charmin (Ernie) Hurst; sons, Scott (Cathy) Ferrell, and Rusty (Britt) Ferrell; and daughter-in-law, Trena Ferrell. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Brittney, Amber, Scotty, Cody, Sonni, Autumn, Macey, and Ty; and great-grandchild, Aubree. She leaves behind many loving friends and family, including her best friends, Linda Ferrell and Joyce Maresh. Linda lived her life for her family and was happiest when with them. She faced many hurdles in her life but her faith in God was never shaken. Special thanks to Pastor Kim Lawrence, Scott Rockich, and Millheim Baptist Church for all your prayers and support. Calling hours will be held Monday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 5 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 5 pm with Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with the funeral cost.
