Linda T. Vaccaro, 60, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007 after a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. She had worked for many years at the Weaver Workshop and was active in many Summit County MRDD programs. Even though she had a challenging life, she always had a smile for everyone and will be missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents, Dominic & Violet Vaccaro, Linda is survived by her brother, Nick Vaccaro of Tallmadge; sisters, Annette V. Kerr (Rick) of Cuyahoga Falls, Susan Heller (Ray) of Akron and Christine Scrivener (Jim) of Allen, Texas; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and her special friend, David. The family would like to thank those who made Linda's life easier by their loving care: Summit County Board of MRDD, Evant Inc., Ritchie Home staff and residents, Melissa Seans, Michelle Mointer, Linda Parente, Pam McDonald, and The Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Robert M. Kochanski officiating. Calling hours will be from 4:00 p.m. Friday until the service begins. Private family burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
