Linda S. Duffield-Townsend

Linda S. Duffield-Townsend, 61, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2006, at home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born on June 3, 1945 in Akron, OH, to Robert and Juanita Schultz. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Linda was employed at St. Thomas Hospital for the last 20 years. She will always be remembered for her servant heart, always putting others before herself. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Duffield; her sister Alice F. Keim; and her parents, Robert and Juanita Schultz. She leaves to cherish her memory, son and daughter-in-law Ron Brock, Jr. (Megan), daughter and son-in-law Tina M. Shultz (Bill); grandchildren Matthew Ray, Ashley, Rocky, Jennifer, Matthew Aaron, Brianna, and Abigail; brother Melvin Wetzel; sisters Shirley Tucker (Bob), and Joanne Wolf. She will also be missed by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and dear friends. The family of Linda S. will forever be grateful to Jacqueline and Linda from Hospice of Summa for their loving care of our mom. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., where the funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev.
