December 16, 1963 — October 26, 2023
Linda Christine Turkovich, beloved Mother of Ryan Skamer and Dylan (Danae) Skamer and loving grandmother of Brixton Skamer, Arrow Mason, Derika Hastings, and Savannah Hastings entered into rest on October 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her Father, Vincent Turkovich and by her Brother, Vincent (Bud) Turkovich. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her Mother, Jeanne (Step Father) Larry Macko; (Step Mother) Joyce Turkovich; Sisters, Denise (Jimmy) Devereux, Rosanne (Bobby) McKee, and Jeanne (Jeffrey) Weber; Stepsisters, Michelle Wickenheiser and Misty (Marty) Villers; Nieces, Elaina (Alex) Yates and Janean (Andrew) Hinger; Nephews, Dustin Ratliff and Quintin (Becca) Ratliff. Along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A special thank you to Aunt Maryann and Uncle Jim Roma for all of their support at this difficult time.
Linda was born in Barberton, OH on December 16, 1963. She graduated from Barberton High school with a license in cosmetology. Linda had an appreciation for the beauty of nature and enjoyed taking her boys to parks when they were younger and treating them to Durbin's ice cream afterward. She also had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, and the thrill of riding was close to her heart. She had a fondness for watching 'Forensic Files' and 'Jerry Springer,' finding intrigue and entertainment in these shows. One of her favorite places to be was the beach, where she found peace and serenity. She always spoke about her trip to Hawaii, and if it wasn't for her boys back home, she would have never come back. Her greatest joy, and what she was most proud of, was being a grandmother. Her love for her grandchildren was a source of constant happiness in her life. The love she had for those dearest to her touched the deepest parts of their hearts, and she'll hold a special place there, forever.
Calling hours and a service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Barberton Church of God, 885 North Summit Street, Barberton. Calling hours will be from 11-12p.m. Service will be held at 12p.m with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome to attend.
