Lisa Ann (McMahon) Kleintop ascended to heaven on April 22, 2021 while surrounded by friends and loved ones at the age of 58. Lisa was born September 11, 1962 in Willoughby, Ohio to her mother, Shirlee McMahon, and her late father, Richard. Lisa was deeply loved by many, including her daughter, Molly, brothers, Rick and Tim, Tim's wife, Colleen, her late brother who she dearly loved, Pat, and her ex-husband Raymond Kleintop.
Lisa was gregarious and charismatic. She had many friends, including grade school relationships that withstood the test of time and other friendships she made through her work as a nurse for over 28 years at Akron General Hospital. These connections were important in Lisa's life; as evidenced by her love of traveling with those who were close to her, celebrating new babies and family milestones, and leaning on those who were there for her during personal struggles and periods of mourning and grief. The strength and loyalty of these bonds were evident with those who stayed by her side as her health declined.
Lisa worked full time in a demanding field while providing for her daughter as a single mother. The life of a parent is always challenging but Lisa navigated the difficulties with extraordinary perseverance, grace, and humility. She worked tirelessly at creating a path for Molly to succeed and, though she may not be here to witness the fruits of her labor, she can rest easy knowing she laid a strong foundation. Lisa always went the extra distance for her daughter, including providing for an early Catholic school education, supporting a multitude of interests and extracurricular activities, affording exchange student studies overseas, and passing along the enduring gift of music.
Private services and burial were held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Fr. Paul Rosing officiating. Should friends desire and in honor of Lisa's love of animals, memorials may be made to the National Humane Society, 40 E. Main Street #364, Newark, DE 19711 (nationalhumanesociety.org).
