Lloyd C. Lowe

Lloyd C. Lowe, age 81 of Akron, Ohio, died on September 14, 2017 at Pebble Creek Nursing Home.
He was born on August 13, 1936 in Spencer, WV, the son of the late Omer and Opal Windon Lowe.
Mr. Lowe was an honorably discharged US Army veteran during the Korean War.
Lloyd worked for 21 years at the city of Akron, before his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn. He read his Bible every single day, reading through it several times a year. His greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lloyd was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Green.
Survivors include his wife, the former Patricia A. McDowell, whom he married on March 31, 1956; his children, Jo Nell (Randy) Muth, Anthony (Kim) Lowe, Timothy (Rhonda) Lowe, Rev. Kenneth (Amy) Lowe; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his siblings, Terry Jeffries, Michael (Evelyn) Lowe, John (Kathy) Lowe, and Jeffrey (Rona) Lowe.
Other than his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Jack Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 6:00 PM, Monday, September 18, 2017 where Pastor Rob Seymour will celebrate Lloyd's life.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Baptist Church, 1822 Highview Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44301.
