Lois J. Bailey, 72, of Uniontown, passed away on March 10, 2024. She was born on December 5, 1951 the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Wiseman. Lois was a gifted self taught artist, painting beautiful pictures. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, woodworking and singing. She enjoyed riding horses with her husband, Bud. But her spiritual routine was always foremost in her life, and her relationship with Jehovah - closest to her heart.
At the age of 11 - Lois began to search for God, because of seeing the beauty and design of his beautiful earth. She asked her parents for a Bible and it had red letters where Jesus spoke, and she enjoyed reading it.
During her teen years - in the 60's during the turbulent times she continued to think about the purpose of life and questioned the injustices she saw in the world. During that time she visited many churches to search for truth.
At the age of 21 the suffering and ways of the world were so bothersome to her she prayed fervently to God one evening - she wanted answers to questions like "Why did God allow suffering - why didn't he stop it?" (Certainly if He created the universe he could fix the immense problems)
Soon - her prayers began to be answered when a pioneer sister came to her door. After many questions were answered from the Bible - she began a serious study of the Bible with the Truth book.
In time, she could clearly see that all the answers to her questions were there in God's Word-the Bible. She learned God's personal name- Jehovah and what a loving and just God he truly is.
Lois learned that it is through his Kingdom with his son Christ the King - that he would correct the wrongs brought about by the devil - when he influenced our first human parents.
So she was baptized in November 1973 in Willoughby, Ohio - The most important day of her life.
Lois has been part of 7 congregations in Ohio and Florida. She developed many close friendships over the years with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother John Wiseman.
Lois is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 32 years, William "Bud" Bailey; brother Robert (Sandy) Wiseman, sister-in-law Dorothy Wiseman; children Keith (Kay) Wisberger, Cory Wisberger, Jesse (Melissa) Wisberger, and Rose (Alex) Cheung; step-children Matthew (Pamela) Bailey, Michael (Danielle) Bailey, and Megan (Kristian) Bond; 8 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; and other relatives and beloved friends.
