Lois J. Carter

The world lost an angel while Heaven gained another. Lois Jean (Bittinger) Carter, age 76 of Akron, Ohio, went home to our Lord and Savior on August 10th, 2018. During her time here on earth, Lois loved and cared for her family and friends. Lois was loving, caring and kind beyond all measures to everyone who were near and dear to her. Her love will be instilled in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Lois was born on August 31st, 1941. Lois was the beloved wife of Henry Carter for 56 years. She was the loving mother of Angie Williams, Butch Carter, Darren Carter and to Tony Carter; as well as to their spouses Bob, Chrissy and Lauren. Lois was the amazing grandmother and great grandmother to Amy, Abby, Gabriel, Tyler and Brayden. She was a wonderful sister to Lloyd, Mary, Grace, Sarah, Leonard and Stanley. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Darius and Frances Bittinger and her brothers, David and Paul.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will begin at 7pm. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, on Thursday, August 16 at 11am.
