Our Mother and Grandmother, Lois E. Trent, 88, passed away on May 6th, 2013 after a short illness.
She married her high school sweetheart Donald in 1943 and they remained married for 56 years until Don's death in 1999. Lois was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed going on trips with her family. She and Don traveled often even after he became ill. Lois was an avid reader, enjoyed working in her yard, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved casinos. She was always happy when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of NARFE and was one of the first babies baptized at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, of which she was a long time member.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Trent; sons, Richard and Robert Trent. Left to mourn her passing is her son, Ronald Trent; daughters, Patricia (Bruce) Shirey and Janice Trent; daughters-in-law, Joann Trent and Yaoying Xshu Trent; grandchildren, Steven (Jean) Trent, Lora (Chris) Lesher, Aaron and Julia Trent, Bryon and Brad Shirey, Andrew and Staci Trent, XuXu Tan, Ashley Balazowich and many great- grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wed., May 8, from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Brian Nutt officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
