Lois Geneva Melton
Lois Geneva Melton, 72, of Akron, passed away October 13, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. She was born December 14, 1935 in Willowgrove Tennessee to the late Elloitt & Lee (Chowning) Melton. Geneva enjoyed gardening and sports but above all she loved her family and friends. She worked as a Cook at Amber's Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her sisters, Leatrice and Imogene Melton of Livingston TN, Kathleen Propst and Nelda Sue Best; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be TODAY from 7 - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 12 - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday with Pastor Kenneth Frisbee officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
